“Michelle May has long been an enthusiastic supporter of the Worcester arts scene. Most people probably know her as the founder of Cirque du Noir, an annual fundraising event that shines a celebratory spotlight on local artists while raising money for organizations such as the Worcester County Food Bank, Creative Hub Worcester and The Sprinkler Factory. h Recently, May, who lives in Paxton, has expanded that spotlight to showcase the work of artists from around the world — as well as Worcester — through a beautiful new glossy magazine called Juniper Rag. The first issue was published this spring, and May plans on putting out a new print issue quarterly. A digital version also is available. “Our intent is to inspire creativity from every direction,” she says. “Our audience includes artists and photographers as well as designers and creatives in general.” Each issue highlights artwork selected by a guest curator and lifestyle features centered upon the arts.”
