OUR INAUGURAL EXHIBITION

To include as many artists as possible for this exhibition in our new space, we will present, SINGLES for an in-person show in our small but mighty gallery in Worcester, MA, opening very soon in The Canal District’s Crompton Building, Studio 201. We will be located directly above Bedlam Book Café.

Every great collection begins with a single work. Every artist's journey is marked by singular moments—an image, an idea, a breakthrough, a risk taken before anyone was watching. For our inaugural exhibition in Juniper Rag's new Worcester home, we invite artists to embrace the power of the individual piece in —

SINGLES with one unifying element for all:

must contain blue, any blue, as much or as little as you want.

SINGLES celebrates the artwork that can stand entirely on its own. Unburdened by the expectations of a larger series, each selected work must command attention through its presence, concept, craftsmanship, and ability to linger in the mind long after the viewer has moved on. Small in scale but not in ambition, works measuring 20 x 20 inches or smaller often possess an intimacy that larger works cannot achieve. They draw us closer. They demand a slower look. They reveal that significance is never determined by size. Space is limited to 50 works.

As we open the doors to our new space, Singles serves as both a beginning and a declaration. Juniper Rag was founded on the belief that exceptional art deserves thoughtful visibility and that meaningful cultural experiences are built one artist, one collector, and one transformative encounter at a time. This exhibition reflects that philosophy. Each selected work will exist as a distinct voice within a larger conversation, demonstrating the remarkable diversity of contemporary artistic practice while celebrating the singular vision behind every piece.

For this first exhibition in our new Worcester home, we invite artists to submit up to three works that represent their strongest ideas, boldest experimentation, or most compelling vision. We are not seeking small works that think small. We are seeking works that prove a single piece can carry an entire universe.
