KERI ANDERSON | THOMPSON, CONNECTICUT
Keri Anderson is an expressionist painter and live painter-- a versatile and imaginative visual artist who began her creative practice in Worcester, Massachusetts, and now lives in Thompson, Connecticut. Some of her themes and influences deal with portraiture and the natural world. She focuses on channelling the complications of life through the sensual nature of art by using a combination of texture, color, symbolism and narrative. Her work has sometimes been referenced to looking through a dirty window.
Keri Anderson is an art educator for Worcester Public Schools. Keri has also been known to work with other mediums such as leather, wood, plaster and burned debris. In 2000 Keri received a BFA from Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois. Keri has exhibited in and around Central Massachusetts and Chicago, Illinois.
Early exhibitions showcased her willingness to push boundaries of both medium and subject, from raw layers of transluscent glazes to beautifully abstracted portaits, she continues that journey, drawing on her roots while opening new dialogues around place, community, and internal landscapes.
