Curators look at content, style, organization and all of your personal information. Judgements are made if materials are sloppy, poorly written or unprofessional.
Submission materials must demonstrate excellence and competence as well as describe your work in a thoughtful and accurate way. Many artists struggle with the nuance of their submission documents and we believe it is a huge barrier to entry. It is so common that we are torn when we have to turn people away because of this.
