Newton NOW

2nd annual community artist exhibition at Nearby Gallery

Nearby Gallery is committed to facilitating the growth and development of arts & culture in Newton and The Greater Boston area. Being artists ourselves, we recognize that this can only be achieved by cultivating citizen interest in the arts and supporting artists on the local level. If we can encourage a certain level of commitment to the arts here in Newton, it will start to provide local artists creative freedom and a platform to share their ideas with the world.

Art can act as a vehicle to express your own perspective. Whether that can be discovered visually or through the conversations surrounding the artwork, this exhibition is an opportunity to better understand your neighbor and strengthen our artist community.

This exhibition was an open call opportunity that welcomed submissions of all mediums. The final selection of work was selected by guest jurors Payal Thiffault and Michelle May, the founders of Juniper Rag.”
