STATEMENT/BIO

Statement:

Constantly risking absurdity, as American Poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti put it, is a great way to frame the Clown Princess of Worcester, AmberRose ToiletFire Tortorelli. Tortorelli is a multidisciplinary artist who tends to favor oil painting, but her work extends into whatever far reaches of absurdity that suit her whim in the moment. One can’t really define a set style for this artist and her work. As a musician, poet, writer, visual artist, culinary artist, and clown, she takes everything she does to a new level of exploration through her own unique mixture of discipline and play. No matter the message or medium, her work always has the distinct yet delicate edge of a knife pulled in clown alley.
