Nina Mollo is an artist, curator, and the Gallery Director of the Copley Society of Art, the oldest nonprofit arts association in the United States dedicated to cultivating a dynamic and inclusive artistic community by promoting visual artists of all backgrounds and championing diverse creative voices. With a background in fine arts, business operations, and digital design, Nina brings a holistic approach to nonprofit arts leadership, balancing curatorial integrity with artistic management and community connection. Nina holds a BFA in Photography with minors in both Art History and Book Arts from Lesley Art + Design, grounding her administrative capabilities in a deep understanding of artistic practice and history. She also serves as the website designer for HerSector, a nonprofit initiative dedicated to building equity and sustainability in the arts by supporting the visions, creative practices, and professional development of women and women-identifying artists and arts professionals.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

Growing up, the domestic became a transitional landscape, where I found myself in environments that felt inconsistent and ever-changing. As a result, this work pulls at the threads that tie me to my surroundings by forcefully revealing these instances. By blurring the lines of these interior and exterior landscapes, I reflect on my insecurities of space through moments of careful observation. The tension within these conflated spaces makes my feelings of instability and impermanence paramount, and through the creation of these scenes and the harnessing of light in windows and mirrors, I reclaim the instances where I feel unarmed and out of control.
